The Pink Farm, splendid and unique ! Year after year, Kako Vagh's hotel continues to charm and surprise us. Situated in the open country, it is just one kilometer away from the village of Moustiers-Sainte-Marie. The village can be seen from the garden as it climbs a fault betwen two cliffs in the distance. The hotel's ambiance reflects the charming personality of its owner, Kako. His collection of 1950's objects (cameras, Vallauris poteries and lamps, children's tintoys, coffee grinders, etc...) decorate the rooms. Paintings by Maurice Vagh-Weinmann, his grand-father and well-known provencal artist, hang on the walls. In the bistrot corner behind the arboured terrace, one can sit on chairs and banquettes that once graced the legendary Brasserie Noailles in Marseilles. The guest-rooms are truely charming. The famous light of Provence streams through the windows creating a feeling of calm and joy. The bathrooms are tiled with the world-famous and colourful ceramics from Salernes-en-Provence. Six of the rooms feature newly-designed bathrooms that are larger and air-conditioned.One room is accessible to the handicapped persons. . We would like to tell you more about the garden, the huge arbour and the landscaping, but space limits us. So we will let the pictures talk ! There is no restaurant at the hotel, but several good ones can be found in the area. (Réf. : Guide de Charme - Editions Payot et Rivages - 2006) |
